Heroes TV Show Ofiicially Open With Orientation Camp.
The Heroes reality
TV show has entered another phase of activities after the national wide
auditions which were held in all major cities across the country. it is
pertinent to mention here that the reality TV show is the first of it kind in
Nigeria designed to promote our rich Nigerian culture, as it’s deeply rooted in
the Nigerian culture.
Speaking in an
interview with the technical director of the show, Ifeanyi Onyeabo (Africa’s
most decorated movie director) about the whole idea behind the “orientation
camp” which is currently holding grounds
in one of the best holiday resort in Nigeria and Africa as a whole ”SAMINAKA
HOLIDAY RESORT” located in Saminaka, Kaduna state. He stated clearly that the
Orientation camp was organized with the sole aim of bringing together all 200
contestants that made it through from the auditions and take them through
series of coaching that will enable them
learn much about their respective culture, She also added that the contestants
are going to meet with professional cultural experts who would teach them all
they should know about their roots (culture) ranging from historical events, cultural
songs, their indigenous language, their cultural dance and way of dressing and
a host of other basic facts about their roots as a people.
The Director of the
show further said at the end of the orientation camp, the number of contestants
that would now proceed to the house would be reduced to 37 as only the best
will be left in the race base on their performance in the orientation camp
learning process which would last for 10 days. the last standing contestants
will be representing the 37 states in Nigeria for 60 days in the Heroes house with
each contestant identifying with and promoting his/her unique culture in the house. Needless to say that,
the whole essence of the Heroes TV show is to promote our culture as a people
and fostering the much needed unity in our diversity. The show will start
showing on all NTA networks across the country this October 2014.The joy, smiles
and excitement on the faces of the contestants knows no bounds as they just
can’t get enough of the hospitality and day-to-day fun in the camp.
