  Mallam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, has said that the ongoing anti-corruption campaign is bound to offend many as big toes will be stepped on. Shehu, who made the statement on Friday in Kaduna at the ongoing 3-day Retreat for State House Correspondents, said that personal interests would also be cast aside to achieve positive results in the campaign. He, however, maintained that the role of the media was critical to winning the war against corruption in the country. Social Media Censorship, Senate Will Not Censor Social Media; Saraki.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki. President of the Senate, Sen. Bukola Saraki, on Friday assured online publishers and other social network operators that the senate would not censor the media. This is contained in a statement by his Media Assistant, Bamikole Omishore, made available to the newsmen in Abuja. The statement said that Saraki gave the assurance when the Executive Board of the Online Publishers Association of Nigeria (OPAN) led by its president, Olufemi Awoyemi, visited him. It said that the group’s visit was in connection with the widely criticized ‘’Frivolous Petitions Prohibition Bill 2015’’ popularly tagged ‘’Anti-Social Media Bill’’. Nicki Minaj is not one to let trash talking go without reply.  On Friday (Dec. 11), the rapper took to Twitter in response to some comments made by and retweeted by the African American gossip site Bossip  that she took personally.  Bossip   had asked "Why aren't there more mainstream female rappers?" And then it retweeted and replied to a number of responses, including some that called out Minaj's rap skills.  Bossip tweets thus; SeriousQuestions Why aren't there more mainstream female rappers?
