Ambode inaugurates new waste management corps, vows to clean up waste on all major highways and streets around the metropolis

 Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC). Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Saturday assured residents that waste deposited on major highways and streets around the state would no longer be visible in a couple of weeks. Ambode spoke at the Lagos House, Ikeja after inaugurating the new board of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC). The governor, represented by his Special Adviser on Education, Mr Obafela Bank-Olemoh, said the new waste management policy of government encapsulated in the Cleaner Lagos Initiative (CLI) was designed to holistically address the challenges in the sector. Lagos state government promises to end power blackouts in Lagos

Gov Akinwunmi Ambode Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Thursday said arrangement had been put in place to implement the embedded power project which would soon bring electricity to every home in the state. Ambode spoke at the 2017 community day celebration with the theme: “Community Affinity: Aligning Lagos Communities with Private Sector” held in Lagos. He said that his administration would not rest until it ensured that there was light in every home, a school in every ward, as well as a clinic in every neighbourhood.
